University of Colorado president Hank Brown is recommending the firing of controversial professor Ward Churchill.
In a 10-page letter, Brown said Churchill's research "misconduct" has damaged the school's reputation. He cited "severe" and "deliberate" errors in Churchill's works on Indian issues.
Churchill has been under fire for comparing the victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks to Nazis. He also faced questions about his alleged Indian ancestry.
