Controversial University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill says an investigation into alleged misconduct is running out of steam.

A CU panel has dropped five allegations against Churchill. These included claims that he misrepresented his Indian heritage, made inaccurate statements in a book and violated a copyright. The panel continues to look into other research-related allegations.

Meanwhile, Churchill says he is being punished for no reason. He says CU is withholding the "favorite professor" award bestowed by students and is withholding a decision on his request to take a sabbatical.
