An Internet blogger is keeping the heat on controversial University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill.
Jim Paine runs PirateBallerina [Link]. On more than one occasion, he has posted information before it made the local news media. He is highly critical of Churchill and follows nearly every development affecting the professor.
Churchill is not impressed though. He says Paine has misrepresented his views and tells The Denver Post that the local media "seem to have surrendered their critical faculties to the bloggers." He says the media reports information Paine posts without verifying it.
Churchill is being reviewed by a committee to determine whether he has committed academic misconduct. Questions over his alleged Indian heritage are not being examined.
