The University of Colorado's Standing Committee on Research Misconduct will take 30 days to name a committee that will investigate controversial professor Ward Churchill.
The committee will examine seven allegations of fraud, plagiarism and other misconduct. A report is due after 120 days.
Although Churchill says the entire investigation is unfair, he wants the committee to include people who specialize in Native American issues.
Churchill is a professor in ethnic studies who has focused on Indian issues. He has claimed Indian heritage but has no documentation to prove it, according to news reports.
