It's foolish to assume a nickname automatically means abuse and hostile intentions. If anything, UND proves this theory wrong by showing tolerance, compassion and awareness about the American Indian culture."
Marcia Mikulak: "The professional reputation of UND as a university is at issue here, with a growing sense of disrespect for its educational and professional ethics and principles. If for no other reason, changing the name and the logo should occur in order to begin regaining the respect of most universities in this country."
