A ninth-grade high school student on the Red Lake Reservation in Minnesota is in custody after allegedly making threats of violence.
The student, who is not known to cause trouble, is allegedly involved in a dispute among rival groups of students. The Red Lake High School said it is conducting an investigation.
The alleged threats, made public a week ago, prompted the school to bring in extra security and place the campus on lockdown. Attendance has been sporadic.
