Rumors of no-confidence petitions don't bother Stuart Desjarlait, the superintendent of the schools on the Red Lake Reservation in Minnesota.
Desjarlait said he is confidence that he will survive any no-confidence vote. The school board chairman also expressed confidence in Desjarlait's abilities.
Desjarlait went on a three-week leave after the March 21, 2005, shootings at the high school. He was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.
He has since returned to work and he says he is making the school a safer place. Classes start on September 1.
