A memorial and healing ceremony were held on Saturday to remember the victims of the March 21, 2005, shooting on the Red Lake Reservation in Minnesota.
The services were held at a church in Minneapolis. Candles were lit for all 10 people who died, including the shooter Jeff Weise, 16.
Red Lake Nation Chairman Floyd Jourdain Jr. spoke at the service. He asked people to pray for his son, Louis, 16, the only person charged in connection with the case. According to the Associated Press, he said his son is being unfairly blamed for the incident.
A grand jury has been investigating a number of teens from the reservation who may have helped plan the attack or may have had knowledge of it.
