Two former police officers in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, are denying that they held a Native teen in custody shortly before was found dead in 1990.
Brad Senger and Larry Hartwig were fired after being linked to the death of Neil Stonechild, 17. An official government inquiry said the officers were looking for Stonechild on the night he was last seen alive and that marks on the teen's body were "likely" caused by police handcuffs.
Senger and Hartwig have since challenged their firing. An arbitration hearing is ongoing.
