The inquiry into the death of a Native teen in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, will take an extra week of testimony next month.

Neil Stonechild was 17 when he was found dead on the outskirts of town in 1990. Many in the Native community suspect police involvement.

The inquiry entered its sixth week yesterday. A former police chief testified that the police department's original investigation was shoddily performed and perhaps negligent, CBC News reported.
