Priest says inquiry witness fear justified

A Catholic priest testified in the Neil Stonechild inquiry on Thursday. Stonechild, 17, was found frozen to death on the outskirts of Saskatoon in 1990. Jason Roy, a witness who was with Stonechild before he died, has told the inquiry he feared retribution for coming forward. Father Andre Poilievre said he believed Roy's fear was justified. He said he thought police, or someone, could have been watching Roy. Stonechild's death was first ruled an accident by police. But autopsy photos show he was badly beaten. Stonechild's mother wants the photos to be in the public domain. Get the Story:
