Whiteclay activists protest beer distributors

Activists opposed to the sale of liquor in the border town of Whiteclay, Nebraska, are going after beer distributors.

Nebraskans for Peace is planning a protest on Thursday at High Plains Budweiser in Scottsbluff. High Plains is one of several distributors of beer to stores in Whiteclay.

Liquor is banned on the Pine Ridge Reservation but tribal members go to Whiteclay to drink and buy beer. Activists say Nebraska isn't doing enough to enforce state liquor laws.
