The school board on the Red Lake Reservation in Minnesota is considering a proposal to add another armed officer to patrol the schools.

The board previously agreed to station two armed officers at the combined high school/middle school campus. The director of tribal law enforcement says one more officer is needed.

The high school where the March 21, 2005, shootings took place will reopen for classes in September. Eight people, including shooter Jeff Weise, 16, died at the school. Weise shot and killed two others on the reservation.
