Floyd Jourdain Jr., the chairman of the Red Lake Nation, was called to the stand on Thursday in a court hearing over his son's alleged role in the March 21, 2005, shootings on the reservation.
Jourdain and his wife both testified in the closed hearing. It is apparently part of proceedings to decide whether Louis Jourdain, 16, will be treated as an adult or a juvenile.
Louis Jourdain is reportedly charged with conspiracy to commit murder. But his father said he was innocent.
Shooter Jeff Weise, 16, killed nine other people on the reservation, including the high school, before turning the gun on himself.
