Students in Oregon send blanket to Red Lake

High school students from Oregon are sending a gift and condolences to their counterparts on the Red Lake Ojibwe Reservation in Minnesota.

Thurston High School was the scene of a deadly shooting incident seven years ago this month. Although no current students were present, they decided they wanted to send their condolences to Red Lake High School, where a student killed seven others before turning the gun on himself on March 21.

The Thurston students raised money to send a turquoise Chief Joseph Pendleton blanket and letters to Red Lake.
