Indians plan to hire 950 people as part of the tribe's growing enterprise in North Carolina.
The tribe hired 500 dealers at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and Resort after a new Class III gaming compact authorized table games. Another 150 positions are open at the facility, The Smoky Mountain Times reported.
The tribe will also be hiring 800 people at a second Class III facility on the reservation, the paper said. Construction on the $110 million casino is expected to start in October.
