Gun Lake Tribe awarded permit as part of expansion at casino

The Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians of Michigan, also known as the Gun Lake Tribe, has received a permit as part of a casino expansion plan.

The tribe received a permit from the the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a permit to fill in about four acres of wetlands by the Gun Lake Casino. The full expansion plan is still being developed but the first step is a new parking lot at the facility.

The tribe is also considering a hotel and other amenities.
