Christopher Neil Gonzalez, a member of the Navajo Nation, was killed in Iraq on Monday, his family said.
Gonzalez, 25, served in the Army and was on his second tour of duty in Iraq. He leaves behind a wife and child.
Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley Jr. ordered flags to be flown at half-staff for Gonzalez.
