The Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation of North Dakota will host a memorial service on Wednesday for Nathan Goodiron, a National Guardsman who was killed in Afghanistan.
The service takes place at 10am at the Four Bears Casino in New Town. It will feature prayers and songs for Goodiron and for all tribal members serving in the military.
Goodiron, 25, was killed in a roadside firefight. His cousin, C.J. O'Berry, was wounded in the attack but is recovering.
