California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) held another tribal meeting on Thursday, this time with the California Nations Indian Gaming Association.
Schwarzenegger and the member tribes of CNIGA have been at odds over gaming and other issues. But both sides say their discussion was positive and could lead to a better working relationship.
This week, Schwarzenegger met with the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, the Pechanga Band of Luiseo Indians and the Tribal Alliance of Sovereign Indian Nations. He also meet with the California Tribal Business Alliance, a small group of tribes who have agreed with Schwarzenegger on several issues.
