Neb. group eyeing video gaming

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2001 A group of cities and counties want to amend Nebraska's constitution to allow video gaming, The Omaha World-Herald reports today. The Nebraska Cooperative Government Commission is composed of cities and counties that operates keno. The commission would have to get about 110,000 signatures on a petition to put the issue on the November 2002 ballot. Tribes in the state have wanted to amend the constitution to allow the same type of gaming and more. Bills to do that have so far failed. Get the Story:
