Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) has been given more time to decide on the Menominee Nation off-reservation casino.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs granted a six-month extension to Walker. He now has until February 19, 2015, to accept or reject the $800 million casino in Kenosha.

"Given this extension, Secretary Huebsch now has additional time to gather the data necessary for Governor Walker to make an informed decision on the proposed Kenosha Casino," Department of Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch said in a statement.

The tribe supported the request for the extension in order for Walker to complete a legal and economic analysis of the project.
