Carthage College goes from 'Redmen' to 'Red Men'

Old Logo:

New Logo:
Carthage College in Wisconsin has changed its "Redmen" nickname and logo after it was deemed hostile and offensive by the NCAA.

The school teams will now be known as the "Red Men." The feather from the old logo has been dropped.

The NCAA policy doesn't require schools to change their mascots, logos or nicknames. It only bars the use of Indian imagery during postseason tournaments. Schools that keep their logos cannot host playoffs in the future.
