Settlement reached in death of Lakota man

FRIDAY, APRIL 11, 2003 A confidential out-of-court settlement has been reached in the wrongful death suit of a Lakota man who died under suspicious circumstances. Robert Many Horses, 22, was found stuffed inside a garbage can in a town near the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. Three youths who were last with him were named in the suit, which sought $1 million. An attorney for Many Horses' foster mother said the settlement will require the youths to meet face to face with the foster mother. No other details were made public. Get the Story:
