FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2003

The murder trial of a man accused of raping and killing an Alaska Native woman is getting "edgier" by the day, The Anchorage Daily News reports.

Della Brown was beaten to death in September 2. Witnesses said their friend, Joshua Wade, admitted to killing her.

One witness, Jesse Ackmann, has sparred with defense lawyers in and out of court. The defense says that Ackmann was so drunk during the time in question that he doesn't know what happened.
