WEDNESDAY, MAY 15, 2002

The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation of Arizona could play host to a $350 million football stadium if current plans fall through.

Opponents of the stadium want Mesa residents to vote on the issue. If that happens, the tribe would become the front runner.

The Gila River Tribe was being considered but dropped out after legal questions were raised.
