Mass. man's smoke shop put out of business
Thursday, November 6, 2003

After just two days of business, a smoke shop on the Nipmuc Hassanoamisco Reservation in Massachusetts was shut down on Wednesday.

State police seized cigarettes and a trailer that was being used as the smoke shop. The Nipmuc Nation didn't authorize the business and told Taobi Silva to get off the reservation.

The tribe is recognized by the state. The Bureau of Indian Affairs has issued a preliminary decision denying the tribe federal status.
