Editorial: 'Cloud' hanging over Famous Dave
Friday, October 17, 2003
Bureau of Indian Affairs nominee Dave Anderson should clear up a "cloud" hanging over him, The Sioux Falls Argus Leader says in an editorial.
The paper cites Anderson's past involvement with a man who has casino projects pending before the BIA.
"Clean this up and find a way to ensure Anderson won't be involved - and can't exert any influence - and he seems a perfect choice," the paper says.
The paper says Anderson's credentials as a self-made millionaire could make him the "right person at the right time" to run the agency. Anderson founded the Famous Dave's chain of barbecue restaurants.
