Pollution forces Wash. tribe to shut down fishery

Pollution has forced the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe of Washington to shut down, for the first time, its commercial oyster harvest during the most lucrative season. Fecal-coliform bacteria from human and animal waste is leeching into Dungeness Bay. The pollution is coming from non-tribal lands. The tribe is working with Clallam County, the state and others to address the issue. Get the Story:
