Students at the University of Connecticut's archaeology field school have been digging up the Mashantucket Pequot Reservation.

This year, a wooded site has been excavated. Students have uncovered a host of artifacts in and around a 19th century dwelling.

Last year, they worked at the tribe's Lake of Isles property, which is currently not held in trust. The team found artifacts dating back 8,000 years, including arrowhead points.
