One faction of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians of California is controlling the tribe's bank accounts, The Sierra Star reports.

Reggie Lewis and his council say they are the rightful leaders of the tribe. But they apparently don't have control over the tribe's casino, which is being claimed by rival Nancy Ayala.

As a result, the Lewis council says Ayala is using the casino as her bank. Ayala, on the other hand, maintains that Lewis and his allies have misused tribal funds.

The dispute between the two sides has its roots in the disenrollments of hundreds of people from the tribe.
