Eastern Band teams with Notah Begay on golf resort

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians announced the development of a $15.5 million golf resort. The tribe is teaming up with Navajo/Pueblo golfer Notah Begay III and noted golf course designer Robert Trent Jones II. Begay will help Jones create the 18-hole course. Groundbreaking on the 275-acre resort will take place in April 2007. In addition to the course, the resort will feature about 100 homes and a clubhouse. Get the Story:
