The Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians and the state of California signed a new Class III gaming compact.

Gov. Jerry Brown (D) announced the agreement on Monday. His office said it was updated to be more consistent with other tribal compacts.

The tribe operates the Jackson Rancheria Casino. The facility is the largest employer in Amador County.

A copy of the compact can be found on the governor's website. It will be sent to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for review.
