Leaders of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the Mohegan Tribe met with lawmakers on Tuesday to discuss gaming issues in Connecticut. Mashantucket Chairman Rodney Butler and Mohegan Chairman Kevin Brown participated in the meeting, The New London Day reported. A commercial casino in Massachusetts, not far from the Connecticut border, was one of the major issues on the agenda. "It was an opportunity for the chairmen to say how they want to approach it," one lawmaker told the paper of the discussion.
