Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Washington) says the Spokane Tribe should not be allowed to open an off-reservation casino in Washington.

McMorris Rodgers claims the West Plains Mixed-Use Development will encroach on the nearby Fairchild Air Force Base. However, the Air Force has not raised any concerns about the project.

McMorris Rodgers submitted comments to the BIA as part of the environmental impact statement for the casino. The comment period closed May 1.
