Yerington Paiute Tribe gets $130K for housing

The Yerington Paiute Tribe of Nevada received a $130,000 check last week to renovate an apartment building that was destroyed by flooding.

The tribe secured the money from the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. The tribe is the first in Nevada to receive such a grant.

The money will be used in conjunction with a grant from the Indian Community Development Block Grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
