Ousted Redding Rancheria families protest

Ousted members of the Redding Rancheria of California held a protest on Wednesday.

The 75 members of the Foreman family was disenrolled three years ago. But they still own land in trust within the rancheria boundaries, and are worried the tribe might try to come after their property.

The issue is complicated by the fact that one parcel has been held up in probate since 1994. Bob and Leon Foreman are trying to ensure they are able to inherit their mother's land despite being disenrolled.
