An Oscar-nominated director is making a film about a Yupi'k woman who was taken from her family in the 1960s and placed in foster care.
Amy Berg was working for CNN when she met the woman in 2002. CNN never wanted to do the segment," Berg told The Hollywood Reporter so she bought the rights to woman's story.
The film will be called "This Is Not America." Berg was nominated for the Oscar for "Deliver Us From Evil," a documentary about pedophilia and the Catholic Church.
