A 15-year-old Indian teen accidentally overdosed on prescription methadone, a county coroner in Washington ruled.
Robley "Bobby" Carr Jr., died in December in the home of his foster father, who has prescription for methadone. It's not clear where Carr obtained the drug.
Carr was claimed by the Nooksack Tribe and the Hoonah Tribe of Alaska. He was in foster care nearly all of his life.
At one point, Carr and his siblings were placed in a home on the Nooksack Reservation. They won a $5 million settlement from the state and federal governments after they were repeatedly beaten there.
Carr was buried in Alaska. A judge wouldn't let his siblings attend the funeral.
