Outgoing Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio) resigned his final leadership post in Congress on Monday.
Ney gave up his chairmanship of a House Financial Services subcommittee. Previously, he stepped down as chairman of the House Administration Committee amid the investigation into his role in the Jack Abramoff scandal.
Ney has since pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy and count of making false statements. He is the first member of Congress to be charged in the scandal.
Ney said he wouldn't seek re-election but he hasn't said when he will step down. He has reportedly checked himself into an alcohol rehabilitation center.
