Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio) is losing three top staff members as an aide is being subpoenaed to testify in the Jack Abramoff probe.
Ney's chief of staff, communications director and legislative director are planning to resign or have already left. His communications director is going to work for Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), who helped shut down the Tigua Tribe's casino when he was attorney general in Texas.
Ney's involvement with the Tigua Tribe is at issue in the Abramoff probe. He agreed to use a piece of legislation to help the tribe reopen the casino but denies being bribed by Abramoff.
One of his aides, though, has been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury. Matthew Parker, director of Ney's congressional district office, is one of several staffers who will be called to testify, Roll Call newspaper reported.
