Thanks to a $40,000 donation from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, an afterschool program in San Bernardino, California, is getting back on the ground after being hit by arson.
The Creative After-School Program For Success at Emmerton Elementary School lost $45,000 in supplies when a shed was intentionally set on fire. But CAPS is reopening today after the tribe made the single largest donation to the rebuilding effort.
Many tribal members, including vice chairman Vincent Duro, attended the school.
