The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians blessed the new student union at Cal State San Bernardino.
The Santos Manuel Student Union is named for Santos Manuel, one of the tribe's historic leaders. Manuel led his band to safety when a state militia tried to massacre them in 1866.
The tribe has contributed a total of $5 million to Cal State for programs and services.
