Tribal activists expect 1,000 people for a rally and march on Friday in protest of liquor venues near sacred Bear Butte in South Dakota.

The Inter-Tribal Coalition to Defend Bear Butte has been camped out at the base of Bear Butte for the past month. They are fighting increased development around the mountain that they use for ceremonies and prayer.

The march on Friday is aimed at attendees of the Sturgis motorcycle rally. The county approved liquor and beer licenses for facilities that cater to thousands of bikers.
