A bill that would change how gaming compacts are approved in Connecticut advanced to the State House of Representatives on Monday.

Before approving a new or amended Class III compact with a tribe, the Governor will have to develop a "municipal compensation plan." This plan would require gaming tribes to compenstate communities affected by casinos monetarily.
