Poll: Public concerned about anthrax

A majority of Americans are concerned about anthrax but most are confident the government is handling the scare, according to an ABC News / Washington Post poll.

Of poll respondents, 65 percent said they have been concerned about cases and exposures to the deadly bacterium that has cost the life of one person. About 70 percent said the goverment could handle a large-scale attack.

About 50 percent said the letters that have been discovered in Florida, New York, Nevada and Washington, D.C., are the start of a bio-terrorism campaign.
