Rare ferrets find new home
OCTOBER 9, 2000

A dozen black-footed ferrets have found a new home on the Fort Belknap Reservation in Montana in an effort to reintroduce the engandered species.

Although more than 100 have been released on the reservation since 1997, only six have been found left. An outbreak of sylvatic plague has contributed to the loss of ferrets on the reservation and at other reintroduction sites.
