MAY 7, 2001 The former head of the cyber-crime unit of the FBI says attacks on the federal government are growing daily. Michael A. Vatis recently left the National Infrastructure Protection Center and said attacks through e-mail or websites will grow because there is no way to protect computer systems from some of them. The federal government and a number of US-based sites have been attacked in recent weeks by hackers the FBI considers Chinese. Get the Story:
