Mother upset by talk of hate crime

MONDAY, JULY 9, 2001 The mother of an 18-year-old accused of killing a gay, Navajo teen in Colorado says she is hurt that authorities are considering wehther the alleged crime was motivated by race or sexual orientation. Angel Murphy Tacoronte said her son, Shaun Murphy, doens't have problems with race or sexual orientation. Her son's best friend is Navajo and Tancoronte said she is gay. Get the Story:
