Man injured at Wounded Knee dies

MAY 2, 2000 A US Marshal injured at Wounded Knee in 1973 died Monday. Lloyd Grimm was 82. Wounded Knee was taken over by the American Indian Movement from February 27, 1973 until May 8, 1973. During a gun fire exchange in late March between AIM, US officials, and tribal forces under then president Richard Wilson, Grimm was shot in the torso and was paralyzed from the waist down.
